Ten women took the stage at the 2012 IFBB Los Angeles Pro Bikini event over the weekend. Heading into the event it was thought to be a pose down between Dianna Dahlgren and Amanda Latona, two of the division’s top competitors. There were a few surprises and things didn’t exactly play out as expected, as we’ve seen in this division over the year.
When the results were announced, it was Dianna who added another win to her competitive resume, and a hefty sword to her trophy collection. The surprise was little Cali mighty-mouse, Narmin Assria who finished in second. The finish puts Narmin in a tie with Jennifer Chapman in the Olympia Qualification Point Series. The two sit with 13 points heading into the final few shows before the Olympia. Perhaps Amanda Latona had some stage rust. Can you have that as a bikini competitor? This was Amanda’s first time on stage this year and while many felt she would be the favorite for the win, she was relegated to third. Dayna Maleton finished in fourth, her third consecutive finish in fourth place. Rounding out the top five was Taylor Matheny from California by way of Oklahoma.
