Eat-Clean Diet® Author Tosca Reno Preps for Competition

The magazine business is a competitive one but Oxygen’s Tosca Reno is preparing for a different type of competition. She recently announced that she will be stepping on stage in a physique competition in honor of her late husband, Robert Kennedy. Robert Kennedy was the founder and publisher of Oxygen magazine and passed away in April. Tosca is a New York Times best-selling author with her “Eat-Clean Diet®”.

Tosca shared the news on her blog and wrote,”I invite you to travel along with me as I navigate the way through the good, the bad and the ugly of contest prep. BUT I won’t be doing it alone; I will have a new wingman at my side.” Her “wingman” will be Rita Catolino.

When commenting about food, Tosca writes,”Rita has decided to eliminate most grains for the time being and increase my healthy fat consumption, allowing my energy system and cognitive function to rely on fats as opposed to carbohydrates.”

She shares in another blog post, “We have chosen the Kitchener/Waterloo Oktoberfest Classic. It is put on by the Ontario Physique Association- a feeder into the Canadian Bodybuilding Federation and the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). The show, which is an all natural event run by Melissa Shadd, will take place October 13th, 2012.”

Good luck Tosca!
