First Female Football Quarterback in Florida

Erin DiMeglio is like a number of teenage girls in many ways but very different in her chosen sport. She attends high school and babysits when she’s not busy studying. She has to do chores around the house like most young adults. When it comes to sports though, Erin is different. She recently became the first female quarterback in Florida history.

She doesn’t ask for special treatment and wants her game on the field to get people talking, not for simply being a girl. After her team won her first game she tweeted, “It was a great feeling, but I think it should be about the whole team, a team effort, not just me.”

“Don’t give up on your dreams,” she said, when asked what advice she’d give other girls. “Keep dreaming.”
