Second Women’s UFC Bout Booked

Liz Carmouche will face Ronda Rousey this month for the first women’s UFC bout. It’s been wildly publicized and the fight will be not only the first in the UFC but also the headline event for UFC 157. Monday, the second women’s UFC bout was announced between Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano. The two will face off as part of The Ultimate Fighter Finale on April 13, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miesha Tate was the Strikeforce bantamweight champion, that was until she met up with the arm-barring Rousey last year. Tate is 13-3 and coming off a win over Julie Kedzie. Cat Zingano is undefeated in her pro career and currently stands at 7-0. Cat is as friendly as the come outside of the cage but you don’t want to meet up with her inside of it. She may not have the big name fights that Tate has but rest assured she will put the former champ to the test.

Cat shared on her facebook fan page, “Time to step it up and achieve my highest good! UFC Zingano vs Tate, April 13 Las Vegas NV.” Follow Cat via twitter @catzingano.
