Gennifer Strobo kept her winning ways alive in Michigan. The Florida Figure pro took top honors at the 2013 IFBB Powerhouse Classic, her second this month. Strobo was the winner last week at the IFBB Pittsburgh Pro and the win here has her on cruise control. She’s found the right balance for her physique and managed to come in full, a challenge she faced in previous shows. Natalie Waples returned to the top three and collected a few Olympia points along the way. Dana Ambrose also continued to be the most consistent competitor since turning pro with a third place finish.
The biggest surprise of the show may have come in the fourth place finish. Maria Luisa Baeza Diaz was 8th at the 2012 Pittsburgh Pro and 14th at the New York Pro last year. Allison Frahn rounded out the top five in her first appearance on stage for the year. Monica Specking, once a top contender, is still trying to find her groove and return to the winner’s circle.
