Karina Nascimento was “the one to beat” heading into the 2013 IFBB Optimum Pro Women’s Physique contest. She was the first pro women’s physique winner in 2012 and had two wins to her credit heading into this season. Karina continued her winning ways in Shreveport, Louisiana by beating out 11 other pros. The win was her third in the IFBB’s newest division and secures her spot in the inaugural Olympia Showdown.
Tycie Coppett and Joele Smith rounded out the top three. While the show wasn’t the biggest it showcased a variety of physiques. The next stop for the pro women is the Big Apple on May 25, 2013. Karina is slated to compete and if she comes out on top there she has to be considered the one to beat heading into the Olympia Showdown this fall.
