Nicole Ankney took home her first pro victory tonight in Sacramento, California. She beat out Jessica Arevalo and Christie Marquez, who many felt were the favorites heading into the show. Jessica finished in second and Christie third. Coming in fourth was Breena Martinez and rounding out the top five was Leah Brandt.
Nicole won not only the open bikini but also the master’s pro competition. Pretty cool accomplishment for her considering her first show was on the same stage, just one year ago as an amateur. She turned pro at the 2014 Master’s Nationals and showed great improvement from her 16th place finish at the 2014 Tampa Pro. She’s now qualified to compete at the 2015 Olympia.
