The UFC made it official. The UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Bethe Correia on August 1, 2015. The champ quickly posted a message on social media, “This chick is gunna learn why I’m the last woman on earth you should fuck with on August 1st”. After the two squared off at a press promotion, Ronda told her Facebook fans… “Don’t get me wrong, I love fighting at home, but the passion for the sport here is unparalleled – whether I’m hated or loved I appreciate every ounce of passion the Brazilian fans give me looking forward to putting my heart and life on the line again in Brazil.”
Ronda enters the fight undefeated with an 11-0 record. Her opponent, Bethe “Pitbull” Correia is also undefeated with a 9-0 record. Bethe won her first two UFC fights by decision and the last one via TKO. The bad blood between Rousey and Correia began to boil when Bethe said, “I already proved to the world that the Four Horsewomen are a big joke. I just need to conclude my work getting the number one, the leader.” Now she’ll have her chance on August 1st. The “Four Horsewomen” are made up of Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey. Bethe has successfully defeated Shayna and Jessamyn en route to her fight against their fearless leader, Ronda Rousey.
The fight is set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the HSNC Area. Also on the card is Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
