Behind-The-Scenes Photos from David LaChapelle Smirnoff Vodka Commercial

IFBB Pros Jill Rudison, Branden Ray and Tonia Moore were recently cast for a Smirnoff Vodka commercial. Jill shared that the muscle-bound trio is on set with world-renown photographer David LaChapelle for a photo shoot. As you can see from the outfits, it’s sure to be an over-the-top campaign, which LaChapelle is known for.

Prop to Jill for sharing the images and for the trio on landing the gig. We look forward to seeing the end result.

Krissy Chin Featured Photo Gallery

Krissy Chin has been one of our favorite hardbody women for years. She not only has an envious six-pack but also one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, in an out of fitness. We partnered with NPCNEWSonline.com to showcase her hard work. Visit NPCnewsonline.com for an exclusive photo gallery of the top figure competitor.

The photos were shot in the super rad MetroFlex Houston after Krissy rocked the stage. Krissy recently gave birth to her first child so it may be awhile until we see her back on stage but in the mean time enjoy the featured photo gallery.

News of the Weird: “The Four Horseman of the Oesophagus”

Well this is one way to approach a subject. Combine burgers with female bodybuilders. Chicken legs with male Bodybuilders. Photographer Rebecca Andrews approaches two extremes, fast food and bodybuilding in this series. We like the concept of showing extremes and the concept behind this work, however the execution falls flat and dull.

The Four Horseman of the Oesophagus – a triptych in four panels (!) – is a reflection on our relationship with food for the Avant/Garde Diareis Mercedes Drive-thru launching next week.

They say: “Body builders earn their figure through thousands of hours sculpting flesh with exercise and carefully moderated diets. There’s savage dedication and control when it comes to food. Before our shoot one of the models hadn’t drunk any water for two days (on the hottest day of the year in the UK) subsisting on white wine and vodka to dehydrate for maximum muscle tone. The results were certainly impressive.

“The ‘Four Horsemen’ in the images are not the body builders but the food itself – burgers, fried chicken, hot dogs and sodas. The resulting combination of sugar, fat and salt makes the food deeply compelling, high in hedonic value and geared to stimulate your neurons. The same receptors are targeted by powerful amphetamines.” – via http://www.itsnicethat.com

We all face obstacles. It takes digging deep from within ourselves to rise above these challenges. We’ve started a new campaign to help empower female athletes across the globe, “I’m Stronger Than”. We want to know what YOU are STRONGER THAN.

Our first “Stronger Than” hardbody is IFBB Figure Pro Alea Suarez. As you can see, Alea has been able to face and conquer her obstacles en route to a championship physique. She’s STRONGER THAN excuses. Are you?

Share what you are STRONGER THAN on twitter with #strongerthan.
