Yoko Ono Reveals John Lennon Inspired Clothing Line

Well this is certainly not your average, run-of-the-mill line of clothing. This week, Yoko Ono brought her 1969 sketches, inspired by her love for John Lennon, to life. The cultural icon collaborated with Opening Ceremony to construct “Fashions for Men: 1969-2012”. They are unique that’s for sure. Who would not only buy these but also wear them well that’s to be seen.

How did the collaboration between Ono and Opening Ceremony come to fruition? In a recent SPIN interview, Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon shared, “I met Yoko about three years ago when we opened our Tokyo store and she came; it was really exciting. She’d mentioned to me, ‘I drew this men’s line in 1969 for John and I’ve never shown anybody, I’d love for you to see it.'”

Check out the entire line on Opening Ceremony and we dare you not to giggle. Especially at the $200 jock strap. Seriously? If you know anyone who has the cajones to wear this collection let us know, we’d love to meet them. Props to Yoko though. The woman is doing her own thing and following through on something she started 43-years ago.
