Bodyonic’s Kemistry drops athletes from sponsorships

Rumors are always swirling in and out of the world of fitness and figure. Many times rumors are unsubstantiated claims started for a variety of reasons. There are times when rumors do play out to be factual. This appears to be one of those times.

When Pinnacle/Kemistry pulled out as the title sponsor of the NPC Nationals the rumor mill started fast and furious. Bodyonics, the parent company to the Pinnacle & Kemistry brand, has been a long time sponsor of shows. We heard a number of things but nothing was confirmed. Today on Muscular Development’s Radio show, the hosts reported that Kemistry had dropped all their athletes. We decided to ask those we know, who were sponsored by Pinnacle, what the story was. We confirmed that the female models/athletes did receive letters stating their contracts were terminated.

The highest profile women on their roster were IFBB Figure Pro, Amanda Savell and fitness model/actress Christina Lindley. These are two of the best women any company could have under contract. Amanda is at the top of her figure game and a favorite going into the Arnold Classic 2008. Christina is on the current cover of FitnessRX for women and having a very successful acting career. Both women are well-spoken and good spokes-models for any company.

It wasn’t just the women who were dropped some of the top male bodybuilders were also dropped from their sponsorships.
