Gia Allemand & Ali Sonoma winners in Columbus.
Ali Sonoma of San Diego, California is the overall winner of the Arnold Amateur NPC Bikini Championship. Thirty-one women competed in the inaugural event. You may recall we profiled Ali on hardbody last month. The judges sent the right message by rewarding Ali not only the Tall Class title but also Overall honors.

The crowd was unhappy, and rightfully so in my opinion, when Gia Allemand won the short class. Gia beat Parker, Colorado’s Kristal Marshall by one point. There were a variety of physiques that competed and overall it wasn’t a T&A contest like many assumed it would be. I’m encouraged by the potential NPC Bikini brings to the industry.
