IFBB Figure Pro Raechelle Chase recently appeared on TVNZ, one New Zealand’s leading television companies, to discuss figure competitions. The mother of three looked great on the show and did a good job dispelling a few misconceptions from the rather clueless interviewer. The interview starts out with the host saying, “Now many of us confuse figure competitors with over muscly scary looking bodybuilders but it seems they aren’t that quite different.” This is a perfect example of how the “mainstream media” views the competitive fitness industry. Two points that stood out to me were 1)that diet is the most important part of how she looks and 2)competing is not lucrative but she does it because she loves it. Check out the interview here.
