Another IFBB Pro Figure event is in the books and Teresa Anthony took home her first pro win. Teresa has found her stride since placing seventh at the 2010 Figure Olympia. She was in the runner-up position by one point at last week’s Houston Pro and she scored a unanimous victory in San Diego. Felicia Romero was on her heels in the second place position by two points. Fan favorite, Ava Cowan moved into an Olympia qualifying spot with her third place finish. If she can tighten up just a bit, look for her to be a threat to the top spot.
Rounding out the top five was Deena Walsh and Kristin Nunn. Kristin continues to be a contender in every show she enters but is still looking for that Olympia qualification. As I predicted in my Border States Figure Preview, Deena Walsh was the dark horse. She proved to be a worthy pro by placing fourth in her pro debut.
