There’s only one remaining pro fitness event in the United States to qualify for the Olympia. The number of competitor entries to date is disappointingly low and could mean this is the last time we’ll see pro fitness in New York. As of today only 12 women have sent in their contracts to compete. It sparks the conversation, where are all the fitness pros and why aren’t they entering? I’m sure those who haven’t entered have their reasons or excuses however you want to look at it. At the end of the day it won’t matter if more women don’t enter. It’s sad because the pro fitness routines are the most entertaining part of the show, in my opinion.

Props to the women who have entered. The show will serve as a pro debut for Michelle Blank, Jodi Boam, Carrie Simmons and Stacy Wright. The top three from last year’s event, Tanji Johnson, Trish Warren and Bethany Wagner have not entered the event and no word if they will. We’ll see if more women enter the event as we still have 3 weeks until show time.
