Andrews started working with ESPN in 2004 as a report for ESPN National Hockey night. She expanded her role to sideline report and co-host of College Game Day.

She gained worldwide exposure in 2008 when she was secretly videotaped through a hotel peephole. The stalker, Michael David Barrett plead guilty to charges and was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of probation. He is scheduled to be released on July 3, 2012. Erin’s popularity surged when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2010.

Erin’s exist comes on the heels of popular ESPN host Michelle Beadle’s departure last month. James Andrew Miller, co-author of Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN, tweeted, “No other female had ever been so visible; 1 of the most awful criminal acts against talent; and a difficult balancing act between being a reporter and being a celebrity. GMA xperiment failed but coaches, athletes loved her.”
